Currently Seeking

Architect / Project Manager

SMPC is seeking Project Managers

The ideal candidate will have five years experience or more in architectural project management, design coordination, and technical production. This is a full-time position. Current architectural licensure in New Mexico is required.

Position Expectations:

  • • Provide leadership and management necessary for all facets of project delivery.
    • Manage a range of small, medium and large size architectural projects.
    • Lead and supervise the project team, delegate assignments.
    • Lead and coordinate communication efforts with client, consultants and within project team.
  • Qualifications:
    • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience at architectural design firm(s).
    • Masters degree in Architecture or Professional License in Architecture.
    • Project experience in a range of project types, complexity and scale.
    • Proficiency with Revit and technical proficiency in the production of drawings.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
    • Effective capabilities working in a multi-disciplinary team setting, collaborating, and client satisfaction.

Intern Architect

SMPC is seeking Intern Architects

We are interested in motivated individuals with strong design, and technical production skills. Responsibilities include design and support to production of drawings and models under direct supervision in a collaborative environment. Must be proficient in Revit. This position will report to the Project Manager. We prefer this to be a full-time position. 


Position Expectations:

  • • Create electronic drawings and models under the direct supervision of others in a team environment.
  • • Support design, production, and construction administration efforts.

Qualifications:

  • • Provide leadership and management necessary for all facets of project delivery.
  • • Education requirement: minimum 2 years enrollment in architecture or drafting program desired.
  • • Proficiency with Revit.
  • • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines and work in a team environment.
  • • Basic understanding of design and construction drawing production, building systems, detailing, and technology.

Specifications Writer

SMPC is seeking an Architectural Specifications Writer

We are interested in individuals with technical production skills. Responsibilities include support to production of construction documentation and specifications under direct supervision in a collaborative environment. Must be proficient in MS Word. This position will report to a Project Manager. This may be a part or full-time position.


Position Expectations:

  • Develop specifications to accompany architectural drawings to assist in the detailed installations of building components and systems.
  • Support design, production, and construction administration efforts.

Qualifications:

  • •Education requirement: minimum 2 years enrollment in architecture or drafting program desired.

  • • Proficiency with Revit is desired.

  • • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines and work in a team environment.

  • • Technical knowledge of design and construction, including building systems, detailing, and technology.
